Hi people,

I made a first prototype. What do you think of the build?

Looks very good and is the reason I signed up 👍.
Is there anything wrong with printing it in PETG?

@bernd Thanks, I think that wouldn't br a problem. What colors did you choose?

@arctos In our search for a challenging project for our 3d printer, that it would go in the direction of robotics was quickly clear. My son was then looking for 6-axis arms and had to take a closer look at Arctos. Your arm has exactly the colors in which he designs everything around him 😎 . So I got gray and white PETG. But also the cage-like constructs of the Y- and Z-axis are super successful. In addition, the 3D solution with the belt in the C-axis have convinced us. Could we actually start with the new STL files right now (my boys are on vacation) ?
Which parts do you recommend we start with ? Our plan was to work our way from the X base to the C gripper mount.

That is correct. I also started printing and building the robot from the base all the way up.
That way it's easier to assemble because everything stacks one to another.
Cover panels should be printed last. Also you will have a lot of work before installing them.
Cycloidal disks can also be printed and assembled separated to be able to test them.
You can start printing now (if you have v0.11)
In that version I fixed A axis CORE to be able to fit closed loop belt, also fixed some cover panels
because of the collision with the pulley.
If you plan to use the bigger steppers on 5 and 6 axis I can update the core body with the sloths.
